- DESCRIPTION
-
Development and testing of cutting-edge vision-based Autonomous Driving and ADAS systems require lots of real tests in different driving situations encountered under different road conditions. These time-consuming, hard to repeat, costly, and due to the limited number of executed test scenarios unreliable road tests, can be largely substituted with Xylon’s logiRECORDER Automotive HIL Video Logger. This all-in-one data logger enables non-intrusive and low latency recording of raw multi-channel video and network data, data analysis, and synchronous playback of the logged data in realistic Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations that replicate test-vehicle’s multi-camera video system and in-vehicle data busses on developer’s desk.
The logiRECORDER 3.5 is the latest upgrade of the popular third-generation logiRECORDER Automotive HIL Video Logger, which is aimed at performance- and cost-optimized automotive developments. It provides three slots for add-on Ethernet modules that increase networking capacity for additional 12 logging and HIL Ethernet channels. The logiRECORDER 3.5 also supports 10 GbE data logging and TAP, as well as USB 3.2 interfacing.

Xylon’s logiRECORDER Automotive HIL Video Logger is an all-in-one logging and simulation device that supports all stages of development and validation of in-cabin AI monitoring systems.
Xylon’s super simple and economical HIL system for in-cabin applications based on the logiRECORDER HIL Automotive Video Logger. It sits between the NIR video camera and the AI-based ECU that monitors the driver’s behavior. HIL mode activated by a single mouse click enables direct injection of raw road video footage into the AI ECU.
Xylon visited the ADAS & AVT Expo 2023 in Stuttgart, Germany, where we presented 3 different demos, including the European premiere of the future-proof, industry’s first L5 autonomy ready Data Logger and HIL system – XYLON QUATTRO®!
Meet XYLON QUATTRO®, industry’s first L5 autonomy ready Data Logger and HIL system! With 128 Gbps of data logging and playback bandwidth, 128 TB of internal data storage, industry’s best automotive interfacing, open software architecture and HIL capabilities, it offers an unprecedented feature set.
Xylon and Cognata introducing ProHIL – an ultra-compact, cost-reductive, multi-sensor HIL solution that supports the most advanced automotive sensors, such as hi-resolution video cameras, LIDARs and RADARs.
Xylon teamed up with the company rFpro – an expert in driving simulation software – with the goal of exchanging the soft ECU model with its physical counterpart –real HW ECU. Transition from SIL to Hardware-in-the-Loop (or HIL) simulations brings a higher dimension of realism and confidence to simulation results.
The logiREF-ACAP-VDF Video Design Framework for Multi-Camera Vision Applications showcases the advantages of the Versal ACAP platform by visualizing 6 camera streams in parallel, with or without running advanced image filters, and with real-time LIDAR data that is visualized instantly on the screen in the form of a 3D point cloud.
Xylon’s CEO and founder, Mr. Davor Kovacec, explains direct HIL injection of test data into an automotive Electronic Control Unit (ECU) under test. Direct HIL tremendously helps automotive development and test engineers to fulfill their engineering goals and make ECUs.
The logicBRICKS High Dynamic Range (HDR) Image Signal Processing (ISP) IP suite enables crisp camera video under altering and rough lighting conditions in next-generation multi-channel embedded systems for use in automotive, surveillance, medical and similar video and vision AI applications.
